The Comboni Mission Center, Covina, CA. held it's Annual October Dinner and Raffle, Saturday night, October 6, 2018.
The Comboni English and Spanish leagues worked diligently at the side of Fr. Jorge Ochoa to make this one of our best events ever - all seats were sold well in advance. Fr. Jose Pimentel Guzman, Comboni Missionary from Holy Cross Church in Los Angeles, spoke to the nearly 230 people in the room about his experiences as a new priest in Sudan, and the present need for more "missionary friends." After his talk, two short videos and dessert, mariachis played, and the room filled with dancing, chatter and good times well past 11:00 pm. The event was held at Sacred Heart Church, Covina, inside the beautiful Cavanagh Hall.
